1000th Ferrari Hong Kong

To highlight the 1,000th Ferrari delivered in Hong Kong yesterday, a special ceremony was observed at the Victoria Harbor. There were more than 65 international media from Hong Kong, Macau and nearby markets who were in attendance in yesterday's event, an important landmark for Ferrari in the Asia-Pacific area. The first Ferrari was delivered to a customer in Hong Kong in the early part of the 1960s and after 45 years the 1,000th Ferrari has arrived in the form of the new 612 Scaglietti "One-to-One."

The 612 Scaglietti is currently the flagship of the Ferrari range. The ceremony took place late in the afternoon on board a Chinese Junk called the "Huan" anchored at the Victoria Harbor where the Ferrari was presented to Mr. Didier Li, the owner. The occasion is said to be the first for any carmaker in Hong Kong.

There were 115 Ferraris delivered to Hong Kong in 2008 and 1,089 units to the whole Asia Pacific Region with Japan remaining the chief market for the Prancing Horse with 433 units delivered to customers last year which represents a 15 percent increase. China received more than 200 units for the first time.
