On October 27, James Bond's 1964 Aston Martin DB5 will be offered at an auction in London and is expected to raise about £4 million. The car, which is officially registered as FMP 7B, is the only remaining DB5 used for filming the Goldfinger and Thunderball movies. You may remember this 1964 car for having many gadgets, including the revolving number plate. But the buyer will get a car that comes factory-fitted with all the modifications conceived by Oscar-award-winning special effects expert John Stears. The car features machine guns, a bullet-proof shield, a tracking device, the revolving number plates, a removable roof panel, an oil slick sprayer and nail spreader and smoke screen which can all be controlled from switches in the center armrest. The sale proceeds will go to the charitable work of The Jerry Lee Foundation, a charity set up by radio station owner Jerry Lee, who has been the owner of the car since 1969.
