2008 Vw Scirocco by ABT

Yesterday we saw the Vw Scirocco by Oettinger, a good looking tuning kit which really surprised us. Today ABT, the great tuner specialized in German vehicles, unveiled its tuning kit for the Scirocco. The new kit includes an ABT front grill, a redesigned front bumper, new side sills featuring stylish air inlets , a new rear skirt and wing and a diagonally attached 4-pipe rear muffler, just like the Lexus IS-F. The new sets of BR or AR alloy wheels, available in 18 to 20 inch dimensions, complete this stylish tuning kit. The stability of the vehicle is improved due to the new suspension system which lowers the Scirocco with up to 30 millimeters. The new ABT body kit for the Scirocco will be launched in January 2009 at a price of 5,990 Euros of $8,290. ABT has therefore also developed power refinements: the 1.4 TSI engine has been boosted from 160 to 200 hp while the 1.9 TDI engine develops now 170 hp from 140 hp. The 2.0 FSI engine will also be available with a plus of 40 hp, developing a total of 240 hp. Due to the engine improvements, new 345 mm disk brakes were installed.
