The latest tuning package released by Callaway Cars for the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette fetches a sticker price of $18,900 but raises the car's power output to an impressive 580 hp (433 kW) which in turn gets the Corvette an acceleration rate of 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds to reach a maximum speed in excess of 200 mph.
The Callaway Corvette can cross the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at a speed of 124 mph. The Callaway tuning package begins with the LS3 V8 by GM and adds on top of it an Eaton supercharger, a high-flow injected fuel system, an air-liquid converting intercooler and a custom air intake. A hood decal that matches Callaway's 650 hp (485 kW) C16 bespoke speedster is available upon customer request. This package becomes available in conjunction with the opening of its new 27,000 sq.-ft. facility in Corona, California to mark its 20 years of tuning Corvettes. Photo gallery after the jump!
