2009 Essen Motor Show: Brabus B63 S breaks cover
Brabus unveiled today at the 2009 Essen Motor Show, its brand new B63 S, a new sports sedan based on the latest Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
For those who don’t know, the ”standard” E63 AMG comes with a 6.3-liter V8 engine capable to deliver 525 hp but the German tuner wasn’t satisfied by this number and added an extra 30 hp in order to obtain a total output of 555 hp and an impressive 650 Nm (464 to 479 lb-ft) at 5,400 rpm. With these numbers, the B63 S sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.3 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 320 km/h (200 mph). In order the transfer all the 555 hp on the road the German tuner offers a limited-slip differential with a locking rate of 40 percent for the E 63 AMG. Continued after the jump!
Also, a new aerodynamic kit is available consisting of a front spoiler lip, new aluminium sport fenders with lateral air outlets to improve venting of the 2 wheel houses, a new rear spoiler and a new rear air diffuser for better stability at high speeds.
The kit is completed by the new Monoblock VI, E, Q or S wheels in size 9Jx20 (these wheels are also available with diameters of 18 and 19 inches) wrapped in Yokohama high-performance tires in size 245/30 ZR 20 in front and up to size 295/25 ZR 20 on the rear axle.
Inside we find stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated BRABUS logo to a speedometer with 360-km/h (225-mph) dial, new Brabus Mastik leather and , Alcantara to each customer’s exact specifications, precious wood and carbon-fiber inlays in any desired color and with various surface finishes.
