Mountune Performance have developed recently a set of performance upgrades for the most current Ford Fiesta 1.6-liter gasoline models which they are offering via selected Ford outlets.
The performance upgrade of the new-look Fiesta Zetec-S and Titanium models are priced at £1,299 (plus installation costs) and includes a high-flow tubular manifold and a reclibrated 1.6-liter Duratec Ti-VCT unit from Ford. The upgrade brings power up to 140PS at 6,759rom and 170NM of torque at 4,250rpm in contrast to the standard model's 120PS and 152NM.
Consequently, acceleration has been improved from 9.9 seconds to 7.9 seconds from 0-60mph. The Fiesta performance upgrade package keep to the Mountune Performance Upgrads fro the famous Focus ST and Fiesta ST versions which became available last year. All the packages are homologated by Ford and have been tested and proven on numerous British streets in addition to countless laps at the Nurburgring circuit in Germany.
The upgrade, which was a development in partnership between Ford Team RS and Mountune Performanace, will be offered at select specialist Ford dealerships in Britain beginning this month. The upgrades come with a 12 month or 12,000 mile dealer warranty which does not void the original factory warranty of the vehicle.
