2009 Ford Focus RS: official details and specs

Lately, Ford released the final specs for the latest Ford Focus RS, and as expected the car gets 300 hp from it 2.5-liter 5-cylinder powerplant. Other figures include 325lb-ft of torque, maximum speed of 163 mph and sprint rate of 5.9 seconds for 0-62 mph. Full power is attained at 6,500 rpm, however, maximum torque is achieved between 2300 rpm and 4500 rpm. Weighing only 1467kg, the Ford Focus RS can manage 30.5mpg fuel efficiency and CO2 emission rate of 225g/km. The Focus comes with 19-inch alloy wheel as standard with 235/35 Continental rubber. Under the body the Focus utilizes Macpherson strut suspension at the front which comes with patented RevoKnucle mount by Ford, which removes torque steer from the front-drive vehicle as claimed by the company. The rear of the Focus is equipped with a modified variant of the Control Blade unequal-length autonomous suspension and also a anti-roll brace.
