The fastest European factory vehicle by Ford, the 2009 Focus RS, will get a price tag of about £24,995 when it becomes available for sale in March in the UK. The latest Focus RS is the first Ford to sport the well known Rallye Sport emblem since the first-generation Focus RS was started seven years ago, and the 22nd from 1970. RS signifies a characteristic combination of high performance, road-grip, modification, safety and value for money, and mirrors a proud tradition of victorious motor sports participation that goes on until today. A Luxury Pack that consists of the options of Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control (DEATC) air-conditioning; automatic headlights; wipers with rain sensors; rearview mirror with auto-dim capability; distances sensor for rear parking; detection of loss of pressure in tires; and a keyless Ford system fetches a price of £750. The £1,500 variant of the same package brings in a Touchscreen DVD Navigation System, with seven-inch touch-monitor. Other additional options consist of leather seats that are partially trimmed priced at £500 and, for £200 you can have Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity and USB port. A specified metallic variant of the Performance Blue paint finish will fetch £395, but a Tri-Coat Metallic Ultimate Green paint finish gets a £695 tag. The typical price of the lead Focus RS competes with £20,408 for the ST3, the current range-topping Focus. Photo gallery and photos here.
