2009 Ford Ranger coming to the Geneva Motor Show

Next month, during the 2009 Geneva Motor Show the next Ford Ranger pickup is ready to please spectators. The pickup was seen last December at the Thailand International Motor Expo as the Ranger Max Concept.
The Ranger comes fully packed with equipment that makes it not only a workhorse but a lifestyle car too. There are two engine choices offered: a 2.5-liter TDCi turbo diesel with power yield of 143PS (105kW) and 330Nm. It comes with a CO2 emission of 227g/km for the 4x2 variant and 224g/km in the 4x4. The second powerplant is a 3.0-liter TDCi that come with 156PS (115kW) and 380Nm of torque.
Both engines reach their maximum torque rating at 1,800rpm. Both of the engines can be paired with either 5-speed auto or 5-speed manual. The new Ford design has provided the Ranger a belligerent appearance. Revisions in styling consist of lower bumper face with built in fog lights, larger headlights, wider side mirrors and more daring wheel arches.
There are three body styles available for the ranger: single cab, double cab, and a Rear Access Panel (RAP) cab. The first two are common while the third needs a little explanation. The RAP has two forward-hinged doors and two rear-hinged access panels for easier loading of cargoes. This coming April, Europe will be receiving their first copies of the Thai-build Ranger.
