2009 Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 63
A limited edition Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG - Edition 63 has been announced for the Australian market. The exterior looks similar to the standard C63 AMG, however, the Edition 63s boast unique 19-inch DTM-style alloy wheels, three exclusive color choices (Platinum Black, Mystic White, and Allanite Grey), and dark tinted privacy glass fitted to estate models. Exclusive design touches can be observed in the interior, including two unique upholstery colors (designo sand or designo classic red), extended black leather appointments with contrast stitching, illuminated door sills, AMG floor mats, and an AMG shifter.
Powering the car is a 6.3-liter (6208cc) V8 engine, similar to that of all C63 AMGs, producing 336kW (451hp) and 600Nm of torque. Only one performance upgrade was made -- the addition of an AMG locking differential, which optimizes rear grip when accelerating out of turns. This allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, while the estate takes 4.6 seconds. Production will be limited to 63 units. Prices start at $169,900 AUD (172,900 AUD for the Estate version).
