2009 Mercedes-Benz GLK U.S. pricing announced

In January next year, the Mercedes-Benz GLK will go on sale in with price tag for the base 2WD version beginning at $33,900. Going up to the AWD model will cost $35,900. These prices do not include the $850 destination charge that applies to both variants. Intended to compete with the Bmw X3 a forthcoming Audi Q5, the latest GLK demonstrates a vivid improvement in quality over Mercedes' preceding SUV versions in spite that it is a an entry-level off-roader. The vehicle will be offered with both RWD and 4Matic full-time AWD powertrains and in GLK350 appearance will be propelled by a 268 hp 3.5L V6 engine. European models will also be offered in 220CDI diesel and BlueEfficiency appearances as well as a 320CDI.
