Although it was earlier announced that the 2009 Nissan Cube would fetch a price tag of more than $14,000, but lately the carmaker made available pricing details for their whole Cube model range. The basic Cube with a 1.8-liter I-4 unit with a 6-speed manual transaxle comes with a $14,685 price tag. The 1.8 version, with additional feature such as high quality seat fabric, trunk lid, and cruise control, comes with a $15,385 beginning price. The 1.8 variant comes with a continuously-variable transmission (CVT) as option for an extra $1,000.
The SL model is equipped with iPod connectivity, automatic HVAC controls and a 6-speaker audio system. With only the CVT, the 1.8 SL is priced at $17,485. A Preferred Package, which comes with Bluetooth connectivity and a Rockford Fosgate subwoofer, can be had for $1,600. This package also comes with the Cube Krom, a designer edition that is fitted with bespoke chrome upper and lower grills, special seat covers, including numerous upgrades (like iPod and Bluetooth) in the 1.8 SL.
Also available with only the CVT, Krom versions will come with $20,065 sticker price. A cargo variant of the base Cube is coming up. Nissan is offering a cargo pack, at no additional cost, which removes the seats at the rear and seatbelt provisions. What are not removed are the wrap-around windows, making the cargo Cube basically a window van. Another interesting option called the Ginormous Package is an option for the 1.8 S and 1.8 SL variants at a cost of $2,550. This pack comes with aero kit, color interior highlighting, lighted side sill plats, bespoke front grill insert and an 8-piece interior element. Additional options in this package are Interior Design Pack which costs $230 and an alarm system with a $100 tag. Cube models that come with these equipments will basically be fully loaded.
