2009 Toyota Tundra pricing announced

The MSRP for the full-sized pickup truck 2009 Tundra was announced recently by Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc., which reflects a small overall average price increase of just $109, or 0.4 percent on all versions of Tundra. The basic MSRP will go from $22,490 for the Regular Cab 4×2 with a V6 to $41,605 for the Limited Grade 4×4 CrewMax with a 5.7-liter V8.

Tundra Grade Double Cab and Crew Max versions receive a typical chrome front bumper, while Limited CrewMax variants now provide the Power Memory Package as an option rather than standard gear. The 2009 Tundra will maintain an offering of selected 45 model variants in three wheelbases, three cab styles, three bed lengths, three engines, three trim levels, and with 4×2 and 4×4 drivetrains. In selected regions, the Tundra E85 flex fuel versions are now typical on 5.7-liter 4×4 models, producing an additional nine model configurations. Furthermore, Toyota is extending buyer choice for the 2009 Tundra with the addition of two fresh Toyota Racing Development (TRD) selection packs. More details and photos after the jump!

Compared with their regular gas siblings, the Tundra flex fuel variants generate the same superior performance in engine yield, towing and payload capacity and have the versatility to run on either E85 or regular gas. Furthemore, Tundra flex fuel versions have the same price tags as their identically set up regular gas variants. Two new TRD option packs emphasize two aspects of Tundra’s capability. A new TRD Sport Package is enhanced for a strong street appearance, while a new TRD Rock Warrior Package is particularly tuned and outfitted with active appearance highlights for off-road journeys and a potent overall appearance.

TRD Sport will be offered on the Tundra grade 4×2 Regular Cab and Double Cab typical bed versions with the 5.7-liter V8. The TRD Sport comes with color-keyed front and rear bumpers and grill surround, color-keyed heated external mirrors, color-keyed door handles, fog lamps, black cloth interior with manual bucket seats, accessory shift knob and pedal covers, accessory 20-inch machined five-spoke star alloy wheels and TRD Sport Edition side panel graphics. The TRD Sport pack will be offered in two surface color finish of Radiant Red and Black.

The TRD Sport Package has an MSRP of $2,408 for the Double Cab and $3,813 for the Regular Cab. Besides its exclusive highlights mentioned earlier, the price of the TRD Sport Package Regular Cab also comes with power windows and door locks, cruise control, remote keyless entry system, engine skidplate, adaptive intermittent wipers, passenger side fold flat seat, and floor mats that are carpeted.

The TRD Rock Warrior will be offered solely on the Tundra grade 4×4 Double Cab with typical bed and CrewMax outfitted with the 5.7-liter V8. Besides its tuned suspension, the TRD Rock Warrior is also outfitted with Bilstein shocks, TRD 17-inch forged alloy wheels with BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A rubber, color-keyed front bumper and grill surround, matte-black steel rear bumper, fog lamps, black cloth interior with manual bucket seats, accessory shift knob and pedal covers, and TRD Rock Warrior side panel graphics. The Rock Warrior will come in two surface color finish, Super White and Black.Both the CrewMax and Double Cab for the TRD Rock Warrior package will have a tag of $3,177.

Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price tag for the 2009 Tundra Regular Cab varies from $22,490 for the Tundra grade 4×2 with V6 and 5-speed auto transmission, to $28,070 for the long-bed 4×4 with 5.7L V8 and 6-speed auto transmission. Tundra Double cab MSRP varies from $24,945 for the Tundra grade 4×2 with V6 and 5-speed auto transmission, to $39,070 for the Limited grade 4×4 with 5.7L V8 and 6-speed auto transmission. Tundra CrewMax MSRP varies from $27,915 for the Tundra grade 4×2 with V8 and 5-speed auto transmission, to $41,605 for the Limited grade 4×4 with 5.7L V8 and 6-speed auto transmission.
