2010 Acura ZDX recalled due to a potential airbag problem

In a recent statement, Acura announced that it will recall 1,850 versions of its freshly launched 2010 ZDX crossover due to a potential airbag problem. Acura will inspect the inside of the dashboard surface material because it appears that the passenger side airbag of the 2010 ZDX will not deploy properly. Although no incidents have been reported, a recent manufacturing quality check revealed that some vehicles do not have the necessary laser-cut scoring on the underside of the dashboard surface material. Due to this, the passenger side frontal airbag will not deploy properly. After the cars will be inspected the engineers will replace the dashboards without the proper scoring. Owners of affected vehicles will be informed by mail later this month. In addition, ZDX owners can go to http://owners.acura.com/recalls or owners may call (800) 382-2238 for more information.
