2010 Audi TT will receive turbo four-cylinders instead of V6 engines

It's inevitable that when fuel economy rules get stricter, the carmakers would have to find ways to deliver more for less. That's when product reshuffling becomes necessary. Audi cut V6 engines and replaced them mostly with turbo four-cylinders. Audi didn't spare the 2010 Audi TT. The 3.2-liter V6 has been removed from the TT range and from the S tronic and manual quattro trims, Coupe and Roadster as well. Instead, the 2010 TT offers only a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder rated at 200 horsepower and 207 pound-feet of torque, sent through a dual-clutch transmission.
If you're insistent on getting more power in a TT package, you can upgrade to the TTS Coupe or Roadster which retains its turbo five-cylinder engine rated at 265 horsepower. Other Audi cars also had the V6 removed from some trim levels, including the now-defunct A4 3.2 quattro Tiptronic and A5 3.2 quattro manual.
The 2.0T quattro trim was added to the A5 Coupe. Joining the range this November is the Audi A3 TDI while ending its run is the A3 3.2 S tronic Quattro.
