2010 Auto Expo: Vw Polo and Race Polo unveiled

A strong competitor for the Indian Polo Cup is displayed at the New Delhi Motor Show ‚ the Indian market Volkswagen Polo race car. Powering the car is a 130bhp 1.6-liter common rail diesel engine that is linked to a six-speed manual gearbox. The car will be racing on 200/60 section slick tires. Aside from those, the VW Polo race car has 17-inch alloys, adjustable race suspension and an aerodynamic body kit that includes a front and rear spoiler, side skirts and rear wings. Furthermore, we see the Indian market VW Polo in Delhi. Basically, it is a mildly reworked version of the European car and will be sold with 75bhp 1.2-liter petrol and diesel engines, both linked to a five-speed gearbox. Three trim levels are available ‚ Treadline, Comfortline and Highline. The equipment for the VW Polo includes dual front airbags, anti-lock brakes and an immobilizer. Photo gallery after the jump!
