2010 Bmw M6

Production of the coupe and convertible versions of the BMW M6 is ending. The M6 is retiring soon after the BMW M5 and the Audi RS6 made their exits. However, enthusiasts may opt to purchase a second-hand vehicle and tweak it to achieve more than 600 hp. The M6's departure also marks the farewell of the M division's 5.0-liter naturally aspirated V10 powerplant. The 4,999 cubic centimeters unit, which debuted to celebrate BMW's Formula 1 activity in 2005, has been one of the finest contemporary engines available. The engine delivers 507 hp at 7,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 520 Nm (384 lb-ft) at 6,100 rpm. It makes the vehicle achieve a top speed of 209 mph (336 km/h). But with an electronic limiter, the vehicle would only be able to run 155 mph/250 km/h). Carsten Pries, the M division's product manager, confirmed that the BMW M6 will definitely have a replacement but the launch date for the vehicle has yet to be announced.
