2010 British Motor Show could revive at a smaller scale

British Motor Show LogoIt was announced last March that the 2010 British Motor Show has been canceled by reason of the ongoing global economic downturn and the next year hoped the event could be held again was 2013. However, a millionaire auto enthusiast could not wait so he tried to revive the motor show. Darren Richards, recognizing the importance of the event to the industry, is aiming to create a collective of wealthy auto enthusiasts like himself to fund the event. Richards has already made contact with some of high-profile auto enthusiasts such as Jeremy Clarkson, Rowan Atkinson and Simon Cowell to grow support for his crusade. Now Richards has requested the Society of Motor Manufacturer and Traders to bring back the motor show and has already approached them with his take on how to make it happen. For Richardson it does not matter in what form the show takes as long as it takes place next year. Challenges must be overcome and must not cause them to just throw their hands up in resignation, says Richardson.
