2010 CES: Ford unveils new technologies and enhancements

My Ford Lincoln Touch
It's Ford's initiative that combines enhancements to Sync's voice-controlled functions and the use of more touch-activated vehicle controls and graphics. A focal point of this effort is MyFord Touch and MyLincoln Touch. Ford's interiors will be redesigned to incorporate a touch screen that drivers can use to access phone, navigation, climate control and entertainment functions.
To lessen the risk of drivers getting distracted, each category is color-coded. Instead of traditional knobs, the vehicle center stacks would have touch-sensitive controls. Steering wheel controls will also be improved. MyLincoln Touch will be featured this year on the 2011 MKX crossover but the interior will eventually come standard on all Lincolns. MyFord Touch will debut this year on the 2011 Edge and the 2012 Focus.
