Camaro SS RCR/Penzoil

The street car has been recently introduced in the form of the Richard Childress Racing Street Performance 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS. RCR gave this car a Magnusson supercharger, custom-ground camshaft, and cold-air intake to the Camaro's 6.2-liter V-8. The RCR Street Performance Camaro SS becomes more distinctive with a new Corsa stainless-steel exhaust system and revised headers. The Camaro becomes easier to maneuver due to a new coil-over kit with stiffer bushings and a six-pot Wilwood brake kit. To help move the engine power to the ground, it gets a beefier clutch and billet-steel flywheel.

When it comes to the exterior, RCR didn't hold back with the lightweight material, carbonfiber. The Camaro's front splitter, rear diffuser, new side skirts, rear wing, and hood scoop, are all built from carbonfiber. The 22-inch custom wheels are staggered and the blacked-out rear taillights and new front grille complement the custom paint and graphics. For its interior, RCR gave the car custom upholstery and a variety of yellow-colored bits. Richard Childress, president and CEO of Richard Childress Racing, said that the RCR Street Performance 2010 Camaro SS project is "an opportunity that translates more than 40 years of RCR racing knowledge to the neighborhood garage."

He added that only three samples of this high-performance street car will be built. He said that whoever wins the Pennzoil 'Get Your Key to Clean' sweepstakes will own a piece of history. All Camaro enthusiasts interested in the RCR machine may enter the Pennzoil "Get Your Key to Clean" promotion. For a period until July 31, you may enter the contest at pennzoilkeytoclean.com. Five entrants will be picked to be at the Sprint Cup's Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway the weekend of October 16, where one of the finalists will be presented with the key to the RCR-prepped Camaro SS.
