This is the Dodge Caliber -- a five-door C-segment hatchback that features a redesigned interior and a new Common-rail Diesel (CRD) engine, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Watch out for it as it makes its public debut at the upcoming International Motor Show in Frankfurt. The new model's 2.2-liter CRD engine offers 16% more power and 3% more torque, which means that the 2010 Caliber produces 120 kW (163 hp) and 320 Nm (236 lb.-ft.). Two other engine configurations are available. Replacing the 1.8-liter engine is a 2.0-liter World Engine that delivers 115 kW /156 hp and 190 Nm / 140 lb.-ft. of torque.
Moreover, the most powerful version features a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 125 kW (170 hp) and 220 Nm (162 lb.-ft.) of torque. The interior has also been redesigned, now having a new organically-shaped instrument panel, door-trim panels and center console with chromed accents on HVAC vents, shift bezel, instrument panel, door spears and cluster rings. In addition, the 2010 Caliber has a new automatic climate control system and the Chill Zone cooled-beverage storage bin.
Other features include Uconnect Navigation with voice commands, iPod Control, rechargeable LED flashlight and an available MusicGate Power Sound Group, which comprises two articulating speakers packaged in the liftgate that swing down for tailgating and other activities.
