German tuner Hamann has given the Fiat 500 Abarth a remodeling like no other. From 133 HP (160 HP in the Esseesse), the Abarth's 1.4 liter engine can now generate 271 HP and 380 Nm of torque. Hamann offers four power levels for the Abarth 500. The HS1, the entry level stage, dubbed HS1, puts the standard Abarth 500 to the 160 HP power level of the esseesse version. Meanwhile, the HSII produces 180 HP and 295 Nm of torque. HSIII, the third stage, brings those figures up to 210 HP and 310 Nm.

But really, none of these compares to the Hamann HS Race program, which produces 240 HP and 330 Nm. This much power is attributed to the use of a modified turbocharger, a new intercooler, forged pistons, a racing clutch (lightened flywheel included) and a revised ECU software. Hamann isn´t the type to set limits as it also has come up with the HS CINQUECENTO 575 kit, which produces 271 HP & 380 Nm.

It uses a re-engineered cylinder head with an adjusted camshaft, twin intercoolers and a self-locking differential. Aside from those, Hamann offers a modified gearbox that features a longer fifth gear. This decreases the engine rev by 500 rpm, allowing a higher top speed. Of course, a car with that much power needs to have something like Hamann's sports suspension and an improved braking system that features four-piston calipers and 264 mm or 305 mm discs. The car also rides on bespoke 18-inch alloy rims.
