The latest Harley Davidson version of the F-150 pickup truck will be introduced by Ford in the Chicago Auto Show this week. It will come as a 2010 model with a new front face, grill, uprated interior and embellishment specifically made for this model. Further features include 22-inch forged aluminum rims and sports suspension. This is the 14th edition of an F-Series truck and the newest in a line of Ford Harley-Davidson F-Series variants since 2000. The partnership has resulted in 8 models of the F-150 together with 6 heavy-duty F-250, F-350 and this year, the very first Harley Davidson F-450 truck.
The external of the new Ford Harley-Davidson F-150 features a special 6-bar billet style grill and special forged aluminum and Harley-Davidson chrome emblem. The F-150 looks lowered because of its fully integrated running board and it comes with a 'Tuxedo Black' paint finish with the first application of 'Lava," which is a dark maroon with metal flakes in three colors. On the interior, the seats and console lid have been fitted with handcrafted Harley-Davidson logos and a limited version of serialized plates.
The powerplant of the F-150 is the 3-valve 5.4-liter V8 which can generate 320hp and 390ft-lb of torque and power is channeled to the tires via a 6-speed transmission. The truck comes with 4x2 as standard or an AWD option, which can be adapted to a 4x2, AWD and 4x4 high, exclusive to the Harley-Davidson version of the F-150.
