2010 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor 6.2 makes its debut at SEMA
Ford has announced the availability of the all-new 6.2-liter premium V-8 engine for the 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor. This ultimate high-speed off-road performance truck was released a year ago at the SEMA show. The 6.2-liter V-8 will produce 411 hp and 434 ft.-lb. of torque, making Raptor the most powerful half-ton pickup available.
This optional powertrain, with an MSRP of $41,995 including destination and delivery, arrives in showrooms in early 2010 but can be ordered starting Dec. 1. The F-150 SVT Raptor was actually launched in August with the 320-hp 5.4-liter Triton V-8. This leaves customers with the choice between two V-8 engines in the Raptor. More than 3,000 orders have been received for the Raptor equipped with the standard 5.4-liter. Already, the plant is at maximum capacity producing the high-speed off-road truck. No diesel? Why oh why no diesel on a car that IS ideal for it?!!! At least just to give this thing reasonable mileage with a massive amount of torque.
