2010 Ford Focus RS WRC Edition

To celebrate 40 years of the RS, Ford is releasing a special edition Ford Focus RS to be shown at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The Ford Focus RS WRC will be limited to only 50 units but it will only be made available in Switzerland by Ford Suisse. Only cosmetic changes were made. The car is powered by a 300bhp, 325lb ft 2.5-litre petrol engine that enables the car to go from zero to 60mph in 5.7sec. Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. This design was actually chosen from numerous entries submitted in an online competition. The design intends to celebrate Ford's involvement in the World Rally Championship. Each model gets an individually numbered interior plaque signed by Ford's WRC driver Mikko Hirvonen. These examples would certainly stand out because they will all be painted white and will feature black and green stripes and WRC graphics. The boot spoiler comes in black. The car rides on 19-inch OZ Superturismo GT alloy wheels. The Ford Focus RS WRC will be priced at 55,900 Swiss francs, which is a 2000 francs premium over a standard RS in the country. Watch out for the full details to be revealed at Geneva. It will go on display alongside the European version of the new Ford Focus.
