Audi R8 GT R

Carbonfiber can be seen liberally on the R8 GT R's bonnet, front and rear aprons, rear wing, external mirrors and door panels. Makrolog is used on the windows, reducing the weight further. As a result of these modifications, the tuned car weighs 100 kgs lighter than the stock model. Powering the car is a 5.2-liter FSI engine, which generates 620 HP. The R8 GT R is then able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and to reach 200 km/h barrier in 9.9 seconds.

Top speed is recorded at 325 km/h. The car uses an adjustable ABT Sports suspension system to manage the extra power and it also uses a ceramic braking system. The car rides on 19-inch rims wrapped in Michelin Sport Cup tires.

The racing inspiration is apparent from its set of Recaro racing seats, a stainless steel roll cage, a special fire extinguisher and a carbon steering wheel. Other features include an on-board video system and an expandable data module. Watch out for ABT's Audi R8 GT R kit at the Geneva Motor Show. ABT says that it will only build 25 examples.
