Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta

Pininfarina planned to mark its 80th anniversary in an uncommon style, presenting an out of the ordinary model- the open Alfa Romeo. The new 2uettottanta was reviled at Geneva Motor Show and celebrates in the same time also 100 years since Alfa Romeo was founded. With an exclusive looks, the new sporty model represents the perfect combination between performance, style and dynamics. Pininfarina chose the spider Alfa Romeo to highlight this special celebration as they consider it the most representative Italian automotive brand, a successful export brand, representing the inexhaustible talent that the whole world associates with Italy. The 2uettottanta concept is a two-seats open car model is powered by a 1750cc turbo engine, measuring 1797 mm wide, 4212.6 mm long, 1280 mm high and has a wheelbase of 2500 mm.

There is not much technical information yet revealed by the company, so for the moment we can just admire it as a style and cutting-edge design statement. The front end of the 2uettottanta underlines its true Alfa Romeo character. The design is simple, with a central line that runs smoothly along the nose of the car, while the execution of the surfaces is more sophisticated.

At the centre, in full view, the aluminium shield emerges, incorporating floating horizontal flaps. What is for sure is that this car, if ever to reach production, will only be destined to out-of-the-box thinkers. "What is the Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta effect? Desire. Whoever sees it must possess it, drive it, enjoy it. Because the Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta is not an unattainable dream. Nor does the Pininfarina Alfa Romeo 2uettottanta only want to impress at first glance, but to achieve a beauty that does not strive solely for immediate confirmation, but gradually reveals all its values and transfers them to the future, making the style eternal. As it did in the case of the Duetto, which continues to be celebrated as an icon of design after more than 40 years."
