2010 Honda Accord Crosstour teased ahead its official debut
Here is a teaser shot of the Accord Crosstour that will be officially unveiled on September 1. American Honda Motor Co., Inc. described the vehicle as an all-new crossover vehicle based on the award-winning Honda Accord. It will go on sale in the fall of 2009 and will be sold as a 2010 model.
Additional details will be released later in the year. Powering the Crosstour is an MDX 3.8l engine, the one found in the ZDX. Under the hood of the new crossover would be the two 2.4l four-cylinder engines (developing 177 and 190 hp) as well as the 3.5l V6, with an output of 271 hp. In addition, Honda is also rumored to be working on the coupe version of the Accord, expected to join the range between the TSX and TL. The coupe will be powered by a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that is expected to generate around 200 horsepower. Honda will introduce new features for the current generation Accord, including an expanded application of Bluetooth HandsFreeLink on vehicles equipped with leather seating surfaces.
