Honda recently came up with a low-priced hybrid, the brand new 2010 Honda Insight Hybrid with price tag between $20,000 (1.8 million yen) and $23,000 (2.1 million yen) in Japan. The hybrid has already been on sale in Japan and will soon reach the US with a price tag lower than $20,000. The Japanese price makes the hybrid the cheapest hybrid to date, providing it the characteristics, low-price and economical, to succeed where others have not. Honda, however, does not expect huge initial sales considering the current global economic condition.
