The next generation XJ saloon will be revealed in a couple of weeks' time by Jaguar. The XJ saloon is set for an introduction at a special event in London this coming July 9 and will hit the markets by the latter part of this year.Jaguar has come out with a new documentary video on the XJ exhibiting its design and construction and the choices that led to the materials and methods they used in creating it. In a previous video, the B&W audio system of the Jaguar was featured including a top-down peek of the new car while in motion. The carmaker claims that the latest audio system is an innovative application of car audio that presents uncompromised quality anywhere in the car.

Jaguar offered some details about their forthcoming flagship together with a teaser photo and a video at the Shanghai Motor show last April. The latest XJ will be the first model to come with Jaguar's next generation aluminum body construction and will be powered by the most current 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel and the 5.0-liter supercharged gasoline V8 capable of 510hp.

Although there is no confirmation as of the moment, there are strong speculations that a plug-in hybrid version will be released a year after the release of the regular model. As the teasers have shown, the designers of the present XJ have addressed many of the criticisms against the model such as out of date styling and the absences of powerplant choices. Judging from preceding shy photos, the headlights will possibly share some features of the XF, but the rear could really received a totally updated LEDs with special design and some subtle hints from one of its targeted rivals, the Bentley Continental GT Flying Spur. Included in the advanced features of the interior are pressure sensitive buttons, in combination with backlit glass panels and the XF's retracting transmission selector handle.
