Here is one reason why you shouldn't put off purchases for the Christmas season. A limited run of the 2010 Jaguar XJ on Oct. 6 sold out in four hours and four minutes since it became available for ordering. A few weeks ago, it was reported that the 2010 Jaguar XJ was going to be featured in the Christmas Book, also known as the Supercharged Neiman Marcus Edition. There were only 50 special edition units made, each with a price tag of $105,000. This isn't the first time that Jaguar was featured in the Neiman Marcus Christmas book.
It had been featured twice before the XKE Grand Touring Coupe in 1968 and the Jaguar XK8 Convertible in 1997. Richard Beattie, Executive Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Jaguar North America, said that having your product appear on the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book is a "spectacular way to launch the Jaguar XJ."
With the 2010 Jaguar XJL Supercharged Neiman Marcus Edition was a five-piece set of matching Jaguar luggage in navy blue leather. Each will be covered in an exclusive Celestial Black metallic paint exterior and a custom butter-soft navy and ivory leather interior with Zebrano matte wood accents. The model is equipped with Jaguar's new 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine, which produces 375kW (510 hp), mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters behind the leather-clad steering wheel.
