The new Kia Cee'd goes on sale in the on October 1 but before that, it will be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Quite apparent are the styling changes. The front and rear headlights have taken on a new shape. The front grille is now more similar to the Kia Soul. A new steering wheel, gearlever design, and red backlighting for the instrumentation have been installed. The center console and audio systems have also been improved. To perk up its ride and handling, the suspension set-up has been tuned with UK-specific testing having been conducted. Under the hood is where major changes have been done. Instead of the 2.0-liter diesel engine, there will be the 148bhp and 187bhp versions of the 1.6-litre diesel, both mated to a new six-speed manual. A new 1.6 diesel-engined Eco-Dynamics model has also been fitted with Kia's ISG start-stop technology. It will average 110g/km CO2. Pricing has yet to be announced.
