Expect the 2010 Forte Koup this summer at the Kia Motors America dealership near you. The two-door coupe, which made its public appearance at the 2009 New York International Auto Show, is offered in two trim levels: the EX and SX. Both feature an impressive line of standard equipment. Powering the Koup is a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that generates 156 hp and 144 lb-ft of torque. The EX comes with body-color bumpers, power heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators and 16-inch alloy wheels outfitted with P205/55R16 tires and five-spoke alloy wheels.
The SX is featured with 17-inch alloy wheels paired with P215/45R17-sized premium tires and 10-spoke alloy wheels. The SX trim also includes a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder powerplant with a higher final output: 173 horsepower and 168 lb-ft of torque.
Four transmission options are available: a standard five-speed manual transmission or an optional electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive (EX models), while the SX model features a standard six-speed manual transmission and an optional five-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and Sportmatic. Choose from a variety of exterior colors: Titanium, Spicy Red, Corsa Blue, Copperhead and Racing Red.
