The price list for markets of the US has recently been made public by Kia for the 2010 Forte. The new model features three trim levels, including an LX, EX and SX, and will be powered by a choice of two powerplants. The LX and EX trim level come with the 2.0 liter DOHC four-pot powerplant that produces 156hp. A 2.4 liter inline four-pot unit with 173hp will go with the SX trim level. The fuel consumption rating for the 2.0 liter powerplant is 25mpg city and 34 mpg highway, and for the 2.4 liter unit the rate is 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Gearbox selections include a four-speed auto, five-speed auto or a six-speed manual. Pricing for the three trim levels are as follows: for the top of the line SX it begins at $17,195, the EX trim it is $15,795 and the LX gets a $13,695 price tag.
