Full specifications of the 2010 Kia Venga MPV were officially revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The new model that will go on sale in a matter of months will be made in Europe and has a 7-year drivetrain warranty. The production ready Kia Venga is said to have been based on the No3 Concept displayed at the Geneva Auto Show in March. The Venga designation is derived from Spanish and matches Kia's slogan "the power to surprise." Benny Oeyen, Director Marketing & Product Planning, Kia Motors Europe, said that the Venga will certainly deliver all the practicality and versatility that a European family could require.
He added that the Venga will also provide them with the most stylish transport this segment has seen.The Venga is claimed to exceed the norm in terms of performance and agility. It is believed to build on the success of the Kia cee'd and boost the ongoing process of changing European consumers' perceptions of the brand. Start-Stop technology will be featured and the car and will be offered with either gasoline or diesel engines.
The new Kia will offer 1.4- and 1.6-liter gasoline and diesel engines, generating between 75 and 128 ps. A 60/40 split rear seat will be offered as standard while a tilt-&-slide, all-glass panoramic sunroof will come as optional. The new Kia is exclusively marketed in Europe .
