Poised to be answer to the economic turmoil is Kia's new Venga. Who says that you have to give up big-car comfort when you want to reduce your carbon footprint? The Europe-built Venga is a mini MPV Kia that measures at 4068mm long and 1600mm tall, with a 2615mm wheelbase. Inside is a sliding rear bench that can also fold flat. Powering the Venga is a choice between 1.4 and 1.6 petrol and diesel engines, producing between 74bhp and 113bhp. All versions are getting start-stop technology. The Venga, which will be launched at the approaching Frankfurt Motor Show, will go on sale early next year. The exterior styling stays true to the No. 3 Concept revealed during the Geneva show. Michael Cole, managing director of Kia UK, said that the Venga, a "flexible package providing big-car comfort and space within a compact package," is a vehicle fit for motorists as the world emerges from the financial crisis.
