Nissan North America has on display the new 2012 Nissan GT-R at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show, marking its first North American appearance. This refreshed version of one of the most popular sports car available on the market offers improvements such as improved engine output, better fuel consumption, revised handling as well as a refreshed interior. In addition, the 2012 Nissan GT-R lineup has six versions: the "Pure edition," "Black edition," "Premium edition," "SpecV," "Club Track" and "Egoist". The version that stands out is the GT-R Egoist or the so-called M-Spec, which enables customers to choose the exact level of dynamic performance and style for their specific needs.

When it comes to the engine output, the 2012 Nissan GT-R delivers 530 hp (current model delivers 485 hp) and an impressive 612 Nm of torque from 3,200 to 6,000 rpm. The new design features a revised front bumper with integrated daytime running LEDs, a redesigned rear bumper, which boosts the rear downforce by about 10%.

Moreover, the new design also provides a better coefficient of drag, reduced from 0.27 to 0.26. Six exterior colors are offered, including two new colors: Meteo Flake Black Pearl (2P) and Aurora Flare Blue Pearl (2P). These are both special colors. It also features a redesigned instrument panel pad and navigation system display, together with a carbon center cluster finisher.The starting MSRPs for the 2012 Nissan GT-R are $89,950 USD and $95,100 USD for the Premium and Black Edition respectively.
