2010 LA Auto Show Preview: 2011 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet

Nissan revealed today the first all-wheel drive crossover convertible, the 2011 Murano CrossCabriolet. The new car promises to deliver the open-air exhilaration of a convertible as well as the versatility of the Murano, providing lots of space for four adults as well as for golf bags or luggage and event with the top down. Furthermore, the Murano CrossCabriolet represents a breakthrough in concept and design and will hit the showrooms in early 2011. The official debut of the car will be made next week, at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Regarding the engine, the new car is expected to carry the same standard VQ-series 3.5-liter DOHC V6 found on the standard model. This engine delivers 260 horsepower and 240 lb-ft of torque, and uses an advanced Xtronic CVT transmission.
Just like the standard version, the new Murano CrossCabriolet is expected to be available in front-wheel drive or with an Intuitive All-Wheel Drive system. Regarding the design, the new car is expected to receive the new design seen on the 2011 Nissan Murano Facelift. For those who don’t know, the 2011 Murano Facelift, comes with a bold grille with new, revised design and wide front headlights, as well as a wide hood and powerful wheel arches.
