2010 Lexus HS 250h coming with the Enform Telematics system

For the very first time Toyota Motor Sales (TMS) US will feature the Lexus Enform Telematics on the Lexus HS 250h luxury hybrid sedan to improve its safety and security systems, which is scheduled to sell beginning this summer. Enform comes with a broad range of equipments and services beginning with the Automatic Collision Notification (ACN) to the eDestination.
All of the Enform services are offered through subscription and available on navigation-equipped HS vehicles. The ACN system is supervising Motorist safety, which in the event of crash, will inform the response center through embedded cellular technology and GPS system. Additionally, an Emergency Assistance Button (SOS) is included to permit users to connect with the call center in the event other emergency cases should take place. The standard GPS system was improved on the Lexus HS 250 and now includes the Destination Assist and eDestination features.
Destination Assist allows the driver to get live operator assistance when a destination is required, just as much as an ordinary GPS would work. On the other hand, the eDestination allows the HS drivers to go online and plan choice destinations and then send them to their vehicle via wireless technology. The step is as simple as selecting desired destination and hitting "save to vehicle" and the information becomes available in the car's navigation system. Users can build up to 20 customized folders of destination libraries with a maximum of 10 destinations per folder.
These will remain online for subscribers to save and update accordingly. If the Lexus HS 250h is stolen, Enform also comes with the Stolen Vehicle Location (SVL) which will help in finding the location of a stolen vehicle utilizing the GPS in the car. The purchase of the HS 250h comes with a one year trial subscription for the Lexus Enform. Pricing for the succeeding years of service have not yet been released but they will be just before the scheduled date of sale for the vehicle.
