The Los Angeles Auto Show will host the world opening night of the 2010 Lexus RX SUV; with the Japanese luxury brand verifying today that both the new RX 450h hybrid and RX 350 will be on exhibit at next week's event. The leaked images feature a longer, wider and taller version of the current one. Lately unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show, the 2010 IS Convertible will also be introduced in L.A.

The IS 250C and IS 350C convertibles highlights a lightweight aluminum three-panel roof, which shows that they should be heavier and less unyielding than their sedan equal. The Lexus IS 250C will come equipped with a 2.5-liter 204hp (152kW) V6 engine coupled to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, while the IS 350C receives a 3.5-liter, 306 hp (228 kW) V6 with a six-speed automatic.

Despite looking comparable to the sedan model, only the hood, headlamps, door handles and mirrors are common with the IS saloon. All other body panels have been modified totally for the convertible. These consist of a new fog light design, a steeply raked windscreen and a smooth new roof profile. At the rear there are new lamp clusters with LEDs and a high-mounted LED stop light incorporated in the boot lip spoiler. Besides these vehicle, Lexus will also bring the 2009 LS luxury sedan which was unveiled in Moscow.
