Joining the growing list of celebrities and companies helping out for the relief efforts in Haiti are Lotus Cars and supermodel Naomi Campbell. In support of the cause, they will be auctioning eight special edition "Naomi for Haiti" Lotus Evora sports cars. Lotus Design Director Donato Coco created the special edition Evoras, which also reflect Naomi's design direction.
The flag of Haiti is combined with a special color scheme and feature a range of items that are meant to make these cars collector items. Naomi Campbell expressed her sadness at what happened in Haiti. She added though that she is delighted that Lotus Cars is supporting her Fashion for Relief charity. She said that the help coming in will raise crucial funds to help save the lives of women and children.
On February 18, the cars will be auctioned at Naomi's Fashion for Relief charity fashion show. On the next day, the remaining special edition Evoras will be auctioned on the "Naomi for Haiti" website. Bidding will end on February 28, 2010. The highest bidders and the amount raised will be announced at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show on March 2.
