Mazda has unleashed the facelifted version of the CX-7 crossover in the Japanese market. This version features a fresh five-point lower grille and chrome garnish added throughout the interior. Performance has also been improved due to engine upgrades, and revisions to its transmission, body, and chassis. For a sportier look, Mazda put in exterior styling features including redesigned front and rear bumpers and 18-inch aluminum wheels, which improve the SUV's dynamic.
For enhanced safety, additional features include Mazda's Rear Vehicle Monitoring (RVM) system and Emergency Signal System (ESS). Two versions of the new CX-7 are available -- the base model and the premium Cruising Package.MSRP ranges from 2,950,000 to 3,580,000 yen ($31,780 to $38,570). Four exterior body colors are available, namely: Radiant Ebony Mica, Galaxy Grey Mica, Crystal White Pearl Mica and Brilliant Black.
However, the choice of the Crystal White Pearl Mica increases the price by 31,500 yen ($340), including sales tax. While the base model CX-7 has sporty black fabric seat covers, the CX-7 Cruising Package offers luxurious black leather upholstery. Both model grades feature a multi-information display (MID), auto-light system (which automatically switches on the vehicle headlights according to ambient light conditions), rain-sensing wipers and Mazda's keyless entry and engine start system.
