Yesterday we saw the preview of the new customization programme made by Lorinser for the brand new Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Today the same car received a new kit, this time from Brabus. You know that, when we talk about Brabus we talk about bit powerful engines and it seems the tradition continues with the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class: the new sedan features the Brabus 6.1 displacement engine (a special crankshaft and larger pistons increases swept volume to 6.1 liters) with 462 hp and an impressive 615 Nm of torque (453 lb-ft) at just 3,100 rpm. With these numbers the car can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.7 seconds while the top speed is limited to 305 km/h (191 mph). Regarding the kit, the car comes with a new front bumper with integrated daytime running LEDs and auxiliary headlights, either high beams or fog lamps, depending on customer preference.
Also new side sills were installed, stylish front fenders, as well as a small rear trunk spoiler and a new rear apron with centrally located rear deflector. The kit is completed by the Brabus Monoblock light-alloy wheels with diameters ranging from 17 to 20 inches and fitted with high-performance tires come from Pirelli and Yokohama. The new suspension kit also improves the handling of the vehicle while the Brabus high-performance brake system with its 375 x 36 millimeter vented and cross-drilled discs on the front and 355 x 28 millimeter on the rear improves the safety as well.
Brabus is also working on the Brabus ECO PowerXtra performance kits for the CDI BlueEFFIENCY turbodiesel models and for the Mercedes E 350 BlueTEC. The new Brabus stainless-steel sports exhaust system with four chrome-plated tailpipes is available for all engine variants. Inside, the vehicle features stainless-steel scuff plates with illuminated Brabus logo to ergonomically shaped sport steering wheels to exclusive Brabus fully leather interiors made from a combination of especially soft yet durable Brabus Mastik and Alcantara leathers. The German tuner offers also a new multimedia system with with integrated seven-inch LCD displays and DVD player.
