2010 Opel Astra coming with a new and improved suspension
Equipped with a new torsion beam rear end, the new Astra is certain that it can successfully compete with the comfortable ride of the competitors’ fully independent suspension. To raise the overall rigidness of the suspension and enhance handling, the beam employs a linkage from Watt.
This implies that the large mounting bushing that links the beam to the car are a lot softer and more compliant. The result is the effective cutting of noise and improved driving comfort. The brand new Astra is the sixth generation model which has nothing in common with the present versions. It will begin sales this coming December and will be followed by the estate next year and the OPC/VXR the year after that. Photo gallery after the jump!
