2011 Chevrolet Captiva
Chevrolet revealed today the all-new 2011 Captiva SUV at the Paris Motor Show, alongside the Aveo, the Cruze hatchback and the Orlando MPV. To be launched next spring in Europe, the new Captiva has a new front end design, a range of interior enhancement, as well as new engines and transmissions. The exterior has been modified and now includes a remodeled bonnet, a new larger grille and the Chevrolet 'bow-tie' in the middle, prism style headlamps and integrated LED turn signals on the outside rearview mirrors.
The new Captiva also gets new body color options and will ride on 17-19 inches wheels. The highlight of the new Captiva’s interior is its adaptable, theatre-style seating in three rows which can seat up to seven passengers. It also features ice-blue back lighting and a dual-cockpit look that’s a result of the 'wrap-round' design of the front fascia which flows into the front driver's and passenger doors.
When it comes to performance, the 2011 Captiva offers a new manual or automatic six-speed transmission as standard equipment. It also has a new engine lineup that consists of a petrol engine (171 hp 2.4-liter) and two turbo-diesel variants (163 or 184 hp 2.2-liter). For enhanced safety, the vehicle is equipped with ESC, TCS, BAS, and front-, side- and curtain airbags. Hill Start Assist is featured on the new Captiva. It also gets an electric park brake that increases space for bigger storage in the center console, including two 1-liter cup holders.
