2010 Paris Preview: Skoda reveals second-generation GreenLine models

As expected Skoda revealed today the details of its second-generation environmentally-friendly GreenLine cars, which will be revealed next week at the Paris Motor Show. The new 1.6 TDI CR 105bhp (Octavia, Yeti and Superb) and 1.2 TDI CR 75bhp (Fabia and Roomster) engines received the latest technologies in order to be as economical as possible. We have to mention that for the Yeti crossover and the Superb Estate, the introduction of ecological technology is a premiere. The new diesel engines are available with diesel particulate filters (DPF).
Regarding the fuel consumption, the Fabia GreenLine and the Fabia Estate GreenLine deliver an impressive of 83.1 mpg or 3.39 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 89g/km. The Skoda Roomster delivers a fuel consumption of 67.3 mpg or 4.19 l/100 km (a record in the MPV segment) with CO2 emissions of 109g/km. The new Skoda Octavia GreenLine, which will be available as both a hatchback and an estate, will have a combined fuel consumption of 74.3 mpg (3.8 l/100 km) and CO2 emissions of 99g/km for the hatchback version, while the estate will deliver 67.3 mpg (4.19 l/100 km) with CO2 emissions at 109g/km.
These numbers make the new Octavia GreenLine one of the most environmentally-friendly cars in its segment. The new Yeti GreenLine will deliver a fuel consumption of 61.4 mpg or 4.6 l/100 km (119g/km of CO2). Still, the Yeti GreenLine remains agile and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/g) in just 12.1 seconds and can reach a top speed of 109 mph. Skoda will also offer the Superb and Superb Estate with the GreenLine badge, and promises that these models will deliver an impressive fuel consumption of just 64.2 mpg or 4.4 l/100 km, with CO2 emissions of 114g/km.
