Just hours before the second test of the season kicked off in Jerez, Red Bull Racing unveiled its 2010 challenger, making it the 10th team this year to do so. The car was presented by the Milton-Keynes based team on the pit lane of the Spanish circuit, where it will debut in the able hands of race driver Mark Webber.
As expected, the RB6 unveiled by Red Bull at Jerez is a logical evolution of the RB5, the winner last year. For this season, the car is being completely designed around the new double diffuser. Continued after the jump
Since the car's suspension had to be modified in order to incorporate it, the component was fitted onto the RB5 midway through last season. In addition, the car features a shark fin engine cover similar to the ones presented by some of its rivals for the 2010 title, while also featuring a more extreme V-nose than its predecessor, the RB5.
An intricate design is seen at the front wing of the new car. The sidepods are seen to be more crafted as compared to the ones on the RB5. Webber is scheduled to complete the first 2 days of testing on the Jerez circuit while German teammate Sebastian Vettel will conclude the test with 2 days of action on Friday and Saturday.
The Red Bull RB6 is widely believed to be the car to beat in 2010, considering the impressive finish of the 2009 campaign.
