Hyundai Genesis Coupe Gogogear

To emphasize the Genesis Coupe’s racing capabilities, Hyundai has partnered with Gogogear Racing to come up with a custom, racing incarnation of the car that will be shown at SEMA. The coupe’s 3.8 liter V6 powerplant features an AEM air intake, a Magnaflow exhaust system, ARK Performance headers and has received a new engine management software. Gogogear Racing also got a Moroso accumulator that will offer proper lubrication of the unit under the expected 1.4 Gs of cornering loads. This unit has an output of 330 hp and a maximum torque of 280 lb-ft (379 Nm). It also uses a racing clutch that works with the stock six-speed manual gearbox.

The vehicle is expected to be good at cornering since it has been fitted with a Ground Control Suspension that includes ARK Performance shocks, springs, coilovers and QA1 bearings. The vehicle, which features a set of StopTech brakes and Hawk racing pads, rides on the track/road through a set of Konig lightweight rims and BF Goodrich R1 street legal race tires. The aerodynamics were also updated, The Genesis Coupe’s aerodynamics was enhanced and it has gotten the APR rear wing and an ARK Performance body kit. The factory steel roof is replaced by a carbon fiber one.

"The Genesis Coupe is designed to convey that Hyundai can not only match the best from Asia, Europe and America, but beat them," said Ali Arsham, owner, Gogogear Racing. "With its potent V6 engine and rear drive chassis, the Genesis Coupe has the ability to beat the current top guns that feature turbocharged four-cylinder engines and front wheel drive. It has ample power, terrific handling, and great reliability that become even more potent with the modifications we've planned."
