2010 SEMA Show: Ford shows three interpretations of the all-new 2011 Explorer

2011 Explorer CGS Performance Products

Not less than three new interpretations of the all-new 2011 Ford Explorer were revealed at the 2010 SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show in Las Vegas. Ford said that there will be an urban version from Funkmaster Flex and Team Baurtwell, a luxurious version created by Galpin Auto Sports, and an adventurous variant from CGS Performance Products. The Explorer customized by Funkmaster Flex and Team Baurtwell will feature custom logos, three-piece forged billet wheels with 24-inch Cooper tires, and Baer brakes. The interior has been given Katzkin two-tone leather seats with custom interior accents and Funkmaster Flex logos. It also boasts of a Sony Xplod audio system.

The concept from Galpin Auto Sports is equipped with 24-inch wheels, custom silver paint on the exterior and modified exterior light treatments. This car gets a leather-trimmed headliner that features suede passing down the center, also repeated on the seat inserts.

An iPad is fitted on the second-row console, which can be viewed in either landscape or portrait mode. The version from CGS Performance Products is available in monochromatic silver and is completed by two carbon fiber mountain bikes on the roof rack. It is also fitted with built-in video screens in the headrests, 22-inch silver wheels and the complete custom leather interior that’s meant to bear a resemblance to the links on a watch band. A CGS cat-back exhaust offers more power, a throatier sound, and better fuel economy.
