2010 Toyota Camry pricing announced

The beautified Toyota Camry which was shown at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show is revealed to have received a new appearance on its exterior and interior and an uprated 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine as basic. The 6-speed base car is disclosed to come with a $19,395 price tag and going up to $29,045 for the XLE that comes with an auto transmission. The hybrid variant begins at $26,150 and the majority of the rest of the lineup coming between $20,000 and $25,000. The new poerplant comes with variable valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) and generates 169hp for the Camry, LE and XLW levels. For the more athletic SE, the powerplants received extra tuning and can generate 179hp. Buyers will have an option of a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic with sequential shift. Available also is the 268hp 3.5-liter V6 powerplant. Changes to the exterior of the gasoline variant include grill with new design and front bumper, enlarged lower intake vent, bigger projector head lights and revised tail lights. The Camry and LE comes with modified standard wheel covers, the XLE comes with the new 16-inch 10-spoke alloys, and the SE with the new 17-inch sporty alloys. The exterior improvements for the Hybrid variant include a special hybrid grill, a distinctive front bumper, a broader lower intake, modified fog lights and 16-inch alloys. On the interior, the Camry and LE will come with an audio option including a USB port, Bluetooth, built-in satellite radio, single-CD, and MP3 and streaming music capabilities. All gasoline-powered Camry will now come with Vehicle Stability Conrtrol with traction control which was previously only an option.
